This delicious twist on tacos will knock your socks off! Shrimp Tacos are EASY and you can add either no spice or a lot of spice. You will want to drizzle the Cilantro Lime Sauce all over everything you see!
One of the first things my cute hubby and I bonded over was Mexican food and drink. We enjoyed spicy food and margaritas together on most of our first handful of dates. Taco Dip, Guacamole, Grapefruit Lime Margaritas.. we enjoyed it all and so much more. Still now, many years later, our favorite type of food to eat together has some sort of Mexican flavor. We make tacos a lot at home, but usually with chicken or beef. I was giddy about making Shrimp Tacos because it was something different, totally easy and healthy, too!
I omitted the cheese from our version of Shrimp Tacos because the Cilantro Lime Sauce added the perfect amount of flavor. Speaking of the sauce, you will have extra! Use it on sandwiches, salads, veggies or rice. It is SO GOOD.
One of the things I love about tacos is that you can alter toppings, as needed. You can add tons of jalapenos and/or use spicy salsa for a super-spicy taco or you can the jalapenos and use a mild salsa for a mild taco. Add guacamole or salsa, or both! Go crazy with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The stars of this recipe are the shrimp and the Cilantro Lime Sauce. Everything else is icing on the cake. Or, uh, toppings on the taco.
This recipe is going into my dinner rotation, which is saying a lot considering I rarely make the same meal twice (occupational issue). These are perfect for a weeknight meal or a large gathering with lots of people.
