This post was sponsored by McDonald’s. Opinions are my own. There is something so magical about a McDonald's Happy Meal. It is named "Happy Meal" for a reason! It was magical for me as a kid (uh, just a "few" years ago) and it is magical now for my two boys. Obviously the fries are delicious. OH the fries! Is there anything tastier than McDonald's fries? Then there is the surprise of finding a toy inside, which never fails to send my boys into a flurry of excitement. You'd think a full-blown bicycle or skateboard was hiding out in there. And now those little fingers can reach inside the happy red box and pull out a Cuties mandarin orange! My boys aren't the only ones to get excited about this. Happy Meals and Cuties?! It is the perfect marriage of yummy food!
Cuties are now available at McDonald's in Happy Meals or a la carte, so you don't need to have a little one around to justify buying one. And not only are Cuties juicy and delicious, they are super easy to peel, as well, which is a huge selling point (and time-saver) for my family. Say goodbye to the "PLEASE PEEL THIS THING!" kid requests, because Cuties are made for little hands.
Do you ever try to sneak just a bite or two of your kids' snacks or meals when they aren't looking? I attempted this with the Cuties my boys got in their Happy Meals and got DENIED! They literally pushed my hand away. Fine. A Cutie for my cuties. I'll get my own - they are also available to order a la carte!
Whether you are intrigued by the Happy Meals or Cuties, I invite you to join in the McDonald's fun! Grab a Happy Meal for your kiddos and enjoy some fun family time together this week. The Pete the Cat books that my boys discovered inside were a HUGE hit. They come with cute sticker sheets, as well as valentines with word searches and mazes on the backs. My oldest cutie will turn nine in a few weeks and he loves word searches. He was all over these!
