Raspberry Lemonade

The perfect fruity, refreshing drink to enjoy in the summer! This Raspberry Lemonade is a kid-pleaser!

Preparing to put a house on the market is CRAZY, people! I have been so consumed with fingernailing sticker remnants off of doors and scraping dust off the tops of my kitchen cabinets that I forget to do the important things like feed children lunch and take a shower. We have so much uncertainty in our near future and it's mildly unsettling but mostly exciting. Whatever unfolds, my boys and I are sticking together and we are embracing the unknown and the adventures that lie ahead.

Although lunch didn't get made, I was able to squeeze out a delicious drink for my boys. They LOVED this raspberry lemonade and asked for seconds and thirds. It was a thirst-quencher and super tummy-pleaser.

I love that this recipe requires so few ingredients and can be made quickly. Keep chilling time in mind, however, because the water that is added will be warm.

Also, if you use a juicer for the lemons, use 5-6 lemons instead of 8 or it will be too tart. If you are using a hand juicer, 8 lemons work perfectly.

A decision needs to be made: eat dinner or scrub doors? I'm going with dinner.

Raspberry Lemonade

Super refreshing and delicious summer drink!

Serves: 8

Total time: 20 min, plus 2 hrs chilling

Raspberry

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups warm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2-3 cups fresh raspberries, juiced or pureed
  • Juice from 8 lemons (5 if using a juicer)
  • Lemon slices and extra raspberries for garnish
Instructions:
  1. Pour the water into a large serving pitcher. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Add the raspberry and lemon juices and mix well. Add lemon slices and extra raspberries and refrigerate until chilled, at least 1 hour. Serve over ice.
