There are only FIVE ingredients in these delicious, sugary little snowball cookies. They scream Christmas!
First of all, a huge THANK YOU to all of you who provided input regarding my foodie calendar. With the help of your suggestions, it is now "on the shelves," as they say. I hope you will consider purchasing one for your very own kitchen or for a loved one's kitchen! As requested from quite a few people, I was able to keep the cost under $10!
Now onto the important stuff. More Christmas cookies! This was the other creation that came from Alyssa's and my afternoon of baking last Sunday. Like the other recipe we made that day, this one requires only a few ingredients and is super easy to make. The sugary deliciousness was off the charts! By the way, I'd love to give a calendar away to one of you as a thank you for reading. Leave a comment on this post about anything Christmas-related. Tell me about a holiday tradition or what you are doing to celebrate this year or your favorite cookie to bake or dish to make. My favorite comment will receive a 2015 Foodie Wall Calendar! Please leave an email address to be consdered!
In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar, butter and almond extract. Mix on medium speed until creamy.
Gradually add 2 1/2 cups of flour until combined.
Add 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Fold in the chocolate chips. Using your hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar until coated (as displayed by the beautiful hand model below).
Place the balls onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Roll again in powdered sugar (twice, if you're sugar fiends like us) and consume! YUM!
I may be back on before Christmas, but if not...MERRY CHRISTMAS! Wishing many blessings for all of you! Thank you for reading!
