The best thing so far this summer is the FANTASTIC rain we had last night in Denver. Our parched, dry ground is finally getting some relief -- as are the the poor firefighters, fighting these destructive forest fires. So this rain could not be more welcome!

I LOOOVE scented candles.. and I certainly could use some as I just moved into a new apartment and it smells like new carpet - yuck! Favorite part about summer, hands down, is grilling and fresh watermelon! I mean, what says summer more than eating sticky juicy watermelon and grilling steak & veggies on the grill!

My parents hosted a big Father's Day picnic at their home for my Dad's side of the family. There were 89 people there--such a fun, wonderful day of connecting with family. I loved it, and it's been my favorite day of the summer (so far!).
